Alannah also completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and CCPA.

Alannah has a great deal of experience in working with individuals with OCD. She has worked with individuals with a wide range of severity in terms of presenting symptoms.

In addition to working with individuals with OCD, Alannah has also worked with youth and adults presenting with a wide variety of other mental health concerns. These include, but are not limited to: anxiety, anger, attachment, breakups/separations, boundary creation, career planning, depression, emotion regulation, panic, school concerns, unhealthy/toxic relationships, and workplace conflict.

Alannah has additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intensive training, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Grief, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety and Depression, and Suicide Prevention and Safety.

Alannah is dedicated to helping youth and adults with their mental health and has spent over a decade contributing to hospitals, mental health, child welfare, human services, special needs, and research. Alannah’s therapeutic approach involves an eclectic,  non-judgmental, empathetic and supportive environment. She prioritizes building a therapeutic relationship with each client, holds space for appropriate self-disclosure and leads each session through a person-centered approach. Alannah is a strong advocate for building healthy relationships, continuing education and anti-oppressive movements.

Aside from her professional life, Alannah’s personal life is filled with endless reading and hiking with her dog, Mylo. She enjoys trying new foods, exploring new countries, and diving head-first into new experiences – she has gone bungee jumping and skydiving (and loved it!). One of her life goals is to someday build an animal sanctuary.
