Angelina Lee

PhD, C. Psych., L. Psych.

Dr. Angelina Lee completed her Ph.D. in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, and her predoctoral residency with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. She has trained and worked in community mental health settings and various school districts. She is registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) and the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), and sees clients in both British Columbia and Ontario.

Dr. Angelina provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2 to 21 who are navigating a range of concerns, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, emotion regulation challenges, school refusal, parent-child relationship and attachment issues, social and interpersonal difficulties, self-harm behaviour, suicidal thoughts, identity development, adjustment to life changes, and trauma.

She has a particular interest in working with clients presenting with OCD and has experience treating a variety of OCD symptoms, including intrusive thoughts related to contamination, perfectionism, health-related concerns, magical thinking or superstition, relationship concerns, and false memory, as well as compulsive behaviours such as checking, washing or cleaning, repeating, rituals involving parents, confessing, touching or tapping, and other rituals.

Dr. Angelina’s clinical approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with a focus on fostering agency and supporting meaningful change that reflects each client’s unique needs, goals, and values. During her graduate studies, she used a narrative therapy method to explore the strengths and resilience of immigrant youth and conducted participatory action research with a local refugee community to study the concept and experience of belonging. These experiences deepened her commitment to culturally responsive and affirming care. Dr. Angelina is also passionate about working with parents and caregivers to support their children, build family capacity, and strengthen parent/caregiver-child relationships for lasting change.

Dr. Angelina’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. She also draws from Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and attachment-based therapy approaches when working with parents. She offers individual therapy, individual therapy with parent involvement, parent/caregiver coaching and consultation, and school-based consultation.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Angelina enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring hiking trails, as well as solo travelling and learning about different perspectives and ways of living. She speaks conversational Korean.
