Zachary Zarowsky

M.Sc.

Zachary is a student at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) where he is completing his Honours Bachelor of Science in the Mental Health Studies Specialist Co-op Program. 

At FTPS, Zachary is our social media coordinator. He is responsible for social media creation, the promotion of our services, and is engaged in creating psychology-related content for our Facebook and Instagram. He aims to provide user-friendly mental health resources to help empower individuals on their wellness journey. Zachary has worked at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Study and Treatment of Emotion Dysregulation and Personality Pathology (STEPP) Laboratory, and the UTSC Health and Wellness Centre. As a residential counsellor at Dowling Community Service Residence, Zachary provided one-on-one and group counseling for program residents to support their mental health needs, provide aid to maintain living in long term housing or to secure suitable permanent or temporary housing, and helped them establish strategies for achieving their goals.

Zachary hopes to pursue graduate studies in Clinical Psychology. Zachary’s research interests include student engagement, resilience, and interpersonal relationships. His long-term clinical interests include couples counselling with particular attention to the presenting issues of feelings of anger, negative moods, irritability, conflict resolution skills, difficulty coping, and excessive worry.
